Diana L.

At 42 I was going through divorce when I unexpectedly lost my job. On top of all of this my dad past away only three months later. I felt like I had run into a brick wall, I didn’t know what to do. With help from my EOC Advisor I was able to make one of the best choices I have made: I applied to school last fall. I would not have done this with out her help and encouragement. At the time I was 42 years old and was very nervous and in question about my decision to go back to school.

Since last January I have been taking between 3-4 classes including all summer. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to do the work but I have achieved all A’s and B’s. I proudly hang my acceptance letter to the school and a letter congratulating me on my GPA. I am very proud of my accomplishments so far and look forward to receiving my degree so I can pursue a career that I can be proud of. If I am able to I would like to continue on and get my bachelors degree.

I have two teenage daughters that I hope to show what hard work can achieve. My mom has always told me everything happens for a reason!
