Welcome to the Maine Educational Opportunity Center Website

Every year as part of our grant requirements, MEOC is required to report back to the US Department of Education progress towards meeting our Project Objectives.

Project Year 2010 - 2011 Annual Report

MEOC worked with 2346 Participants during the 2010-2011 program year.
Objective: Description Outcome
Obj: 1 50% of participants not already enrolled in a continuing education program who has not obtained a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate, will enroll in a continuing education program during each budget period

Obj: 2 80% of participants not already enrolled in a postsecondary school who: 1) is a high school senior; 2) is a high school graduate; or 3) has obtained a high school equivalency certificate, will apply for financial aid during each budget period.

Obj: 3 50% of participants not already enrolled in a postsecondary school who: 1) is a high school senior; 2) is a high school graduate; or has obtained a high school equivalency certificate, will apply for postsecondary school admission during each budget period.

The Maine Educational Opportunity Center is funded entirely by the US Department of Education. The grant award for 2012-2013 is $680,609.
